Decentralized Learning using crypto-related technologies, like, ERC721.

Current State:

Education or learning, right now, is controlled by governments, institutions, and more recently, by investor frenzied ed-tech companies. In most countries, the government dictates the content and curriculum by means of various bodies and regulatory frameworks. Higher education has turned into a multi-billion-dollar enterprise and student debts have surpassed all-time highs. EdTech has further taken the learning-related spendings to the higher levels but it only incentivized the stakeholders with the windfall.

Desired State:

This article imagines a world where citizens are in control of their learning and development, and the knowledge producers are incentivized by the system without any bias, interference from an external agency that tries to influence the content of the curriculum.

Role of creators :

Anyone can publish educational content, video, text, or voice on the platform. Anyone can place a bid for the content for its consumption. The creator can quote the price of the content along with the royalty, every time his token is sold. The content can have an unlimited supply of tokens or the creator can restrict the supply in order to receive the premium on the price. The platform can mint the tokens based on the supply decided by the creator. The first bid on the NFT starts the bidding process for the content and the bid continues. After the bid is over, the owner can easily sell the course NFT at the rate decided by market forces.

Role of consumers:

Consumers can buy the tokens and take ownership of the content. They can consume the content and after the consumption can again sell it to the indented party or again open it for bidding. Consumers can also gain in the process. The quality of the content and courses are determined by the market forces based on the prices of the content. If the quality of the content is not good, there would be fewer buyers and prices would eventually fall.

DeLe Content:

Anyone can vote on the proposed curriculum or content. Initially, there is a weight attached to the votes to different specialists, but later on, the voting rights are dynamically calculated based on the action of the actors.

Anybody can create courses, content, text, audio or video, and upload as NFT. There can be any number of tokens for each course. Whoever wants to buy the course has to own the token to view the content. Creator receives the royalty for further transactions by the owners. This royalty can be defined during NFT creation.

DeLe Exams and Degress:

There can be degrees that may be classified as premium NFTs for different courses.

What would be the eligibility criteria for the degrees of premium tokens?

Who is the creator of the tests? Initially, it may be the higher weighted votes in the system? They can create the tests or exams. Anyone opting to appear for the degrees should buy the token and the result will be available on the blockchain for anyone to verify.

Once someone passes the exam, his voting rights for a particular course are increased. More voting rights mean he has more say in the content of the course, exam, etc.

This platform can also work as a sourcing platform for the companies to hire talents from. They can verify the veracity of the candidate's skills on the blockchain which is tamper-proof.
